Our Visit to Disneyland!
Noodles and I went to Disneyland today!
We saw Mickey!
I got to shake his hand!
Noodles got stuck inside a toy box much like Buzz Lightyear was incarcerated in his own toy box in Toy Story 2 by a fresh out of the box Buzz who was unaware of reality. She found her way out of the box, and made it onto the Heimlich ride in A Bugs Land.
I rode it too. The ride was actually pretty fun. It was very slow moving, but the various comments from Heimlich (although the voice was different from the movie) were funny and kept the slow ride interesting. It was a great experience, and if you have kids, they would love it.
Although we didn't take any pictures of them, we were impressed by the amount of fruit trees located throughout A Bugs Land. We saw Peach Trees, Plum Trees, Fig, Lime, Apple, Pomegranate, Persimmon, Walnut and Cherry trees. I'm sure there were more, but we had moved on to one of our favorite fruits in various forms:
Bye from Disneyland!

Juneteenth was today!
We went down the street to Virginia Avenue Park twice today.
First, we went to the Farmer's Market and picked up some super sweet Nectarines, two of which are already gone, some squash for pasta, asparagus, and a garlic cheese that's REALLY GARLICY. After walking home, we quickly prepared to leave and head out to Toy Story 3 which was quite possibly the best movie in the trilogy.
To calm our bellies down after laughing so hard, we stopped off at Susie Cakes in Manhattan Beach before heading to Ross and the Home Depot for a nice little Saturday.
We came back home to Santa Monica and returned for a second time to the park to get some Soul Food and hear some blues at the Juneteenth celebration. It was nice and relaxing down there. Thank you to everyone from the City of Santa Monica and all of the organizations.
Finished off the day adding some cases and links to the website.
Until Next Time...

Hangin' with baby clams at Manhattan Beach
We had just left Las Vegas, NV
after a 36 hour stay with NO GAMBLING:

and drove straight to Manhattan Beach, CA. What a beautiful Sunday! The weather was perfect. Noodles and I went down to Manhattan Beach to get some Volleyball practice in before visiting our friends in Torrance. Before any practice started, we decided that we were hungry. We stopped off at one of our all-time favorite joints in Manhattan Beach, Uncle Bills Pancake House, to have a BLT on whole wheat bread with sweet potato fries. MMMM. Noodles got Avocado and a thin layer of Mayo on hers, YUCK! I went dry. I got myself an Arnold Palmer, while noodles stuck with the free water. When we finished our meal, we headed down to the beach to knock the ball around. Before practice, we decided to head into the water where we found the neatest thing: Baby Clams
These little guys are so cool! When you walk in the sand, you feel them under your feet like little pebbles. I hope we didn't crush any of them, but if we did, there were millions more that we didn't crush. Seeing them wriggle through the sand was amazing. When we had our fill of the clams, we finally hit the beach volleyball practice. And Noodles got her serve down! What a great adventure! Now, to prepare for our next huge adventure when Sauce and Noodles travel to South Florida for a week of sand and sun, oh wait that's our life all the time! Nevermind.

The day before Running the L.A. Marathon

I am writing this blog post 24 hours before I will be running the 2010 Los Angeles Marathon. There are 25,000 people who will be running in this "Stadium to the Sea" event. I went yesterday to Dodger Stadium to pick up my race Swag Bag which contained a massive amount of advertisements, but, ther was one superb pice of swag I couldn't help but put on right away. A bad assed Census 2010 headband shown here. There is nothing much more one can say about the classy look that our tax dollars are going to but "WOW". Noodles asked me to take this off when she saw me in it. I think it was the ridiculous amount of women that couldn't stop staring at me or the fact that I wore it in public. Fortunately, Noodles was able to convince me to take it off before that convertible full of supermodels drove by. Otherwise, she may never have seen this face again.
There was also a pretty cool LA Marathon shirt. Here is the whole ensemble of awesomeness:

Lady Gaga Ft. Beyonce "Telephone"
I am excited about music again. Lady Gaga has proven to me that music is in fact not dead as I had previously thought. Thank you for bringing back the Music Video as an artform and making music mix with outrageous fashion as it always should.
